Pumpkin Harvest
Nestled in the heart of East Meath, Ballymad Farm is a family-run farm that celebrates the beauty of nature and the joy of community. For generations, the Toner family has cultivated this land; growing fresh produce, cut flowers and more recently have opened their doors to offer a range of family oriented experiences, including pumpkin picking in the lead up to Halloween.
Gerard and Sarah Toner have developed the farm in Pilltown, to give the public the opportunity to experience how and where the produce they find in their supermarket is grown. An intensive and manual process to harvest, the pumpkin season is a busy time of year and this photostory followed Gerard, as he picked and harvested the 2025 crop.
