Llewellyn's Orchard
Nestled into the north county Dublin countryside, just to the west of Lusk village, this orchard sits alongside Lusca vineyard. From here, David Llewellyn produces a range of award-winning vinegars, juices, ciders and perry from carefully selected varieties of apples and pears. From chilly spring mornings to warm evening sunshine in late summer, the quiet sounds of the countryside made this a wonderful place to photograph.
Captured alongside the Lusca Vineyard photostory, I followed the growth cycle from early blossoms, through late summer and autumn, documenting the picking and pressing of these wonderful fruits. A true artisan producer; the fruits, delicious juices and matured vinegars are sold directly to regular customers at farmer’s markets and are also available at selected artisan stores.
